This is getting old

I'm getting a little tired of writing obits.

I'm due to take our cat to the vet on Saturday, trouble is the vet was killed in a car wreck. Dr. Stallings has been my vet for years, and my mother's even longer. This is a man who made house calls for my mom's ailing dog, met us nights and weekends, and would never think of charging extra. Dr. Stallings was often voted best vet in various publications, and always took good care of our pets. A dyed in the wool Aggie, Dr. Stallings loved to talk sports. He never missed a chance to razz a Longhorn fan about a game, if by some chance A & M had gotten a lucky bounce an actually won. At 56 he was way too young to go, and I'm sad to hear the news.

My cat Daisy is now a free agent...sadly.
